My name is Brian Sutphin. I teach mechatronics engineering at a community college in NC. I am maintaining this blog as a philosophical outlet. Back in 2021, I caught the delta variant and almost died from that. I surrendered my soul to Jesus Christ that evening. Before that pivotal moment I struggled with myself and surroundings. I even became agnostic as I had given up hope within myself.

I renewed my life. I am a member of the Moravian Church. One way that I want to keep this blog as a supplemental Journal to the Moravian daily texts. My 2025 resolution is to have more days dedicated to this devotional that not. I try to keep my resolutions realistic.

Life is not perfect, I am not perfect. I fall short everyday. I don't claim to be a theologian or very knowledgeable in scripture. These reflections are mine and not the doctrine of my church. Actually, the Moravian church believes that the scriptures speaks to us in different ways. I believe this.

So, if someone comments and doesn't agree. That is fine. Just remember that my life experiences are different and God is speaking to me differently than you. We can respectfully agree or disagree. In turn find a way to best work and agree. Grace and Peace.
